Finance Accounts Officer

We're Hiring — Finance & Accounts Officer (Remote)

GSV Group is a venture studio and holding company building scalable consumer brands across Africa. We're looking for a Finance & Accounts Officer to support the financial operations of our growing portfolio.

This is a fully remote, full-time role suited to a graduate or someone with 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance. Our books are actively maintained — we need someone who can verify, reconcile, and keep everything clean, while also contributing to the systems we're building to make financial operations smarter and more efficient.

What You'll Do

• Reconcile monthly transactions across GSV Group bank accounts against Zoho Books records

• Verify expense entries are correctly categorised and flag any discrepancies

• Maintain accurate and up to date records across Zoho Books

• Support monthly reporting and management accounts preparation

• Manage statutory obligations including PAYE and pension contributions as the team grows

• Flag anything missing, misclassified, or outstanding before month-end close

• Contribute to GSV's internal finance AI model — helping develop and refine workflows and automations that reduce manual effort across the portfolio

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 0–2 years experience in an accounting or finance support role

• Experience with Zoho Books or a similar cloud-based accounting tool

• Comfortable working across Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and POS or retail management systems

• High attention to detail — you're verifying work, not just processing it

• Comfortable working alongside AI tools and contributing to process improvement — not just using systems but helping build them

• Organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently

• Discretion — you'll have access to sensitive financial information across the portfolio
